The Korean National Para-Olympic Committee gymnastics delegation and the athlete delegation left Pyongyang on the 6th and went to South Korea to participate in the 12th Winter Paralympic Games, and had already traveled to South Korea via Kaesong City on the morning of the 7th.
According to the report, Kim Woo-tak, chairman of the Central Committee of the North Korea Disabled Persons Protection Alliance, headed the delegation of the Korea National Para-Ohmen Committee.
On February 27, North Korea and South Korea held work talks at the united cabinet on the DPRK side of Panmunjom to discuss the DPRK’s participation in the 12th Winter Paralympic Games. The talks passed a joint press release. The communique includes the DPRK's plan to send the National Para-Olympic Committee delegation and athlete delegation to the 12th Winter Paralympic Games, the round-trip route and date of the delegation, and the related facilities provided by the Korean side. The communique also pointed out that the specific operational issues related to North Korea's participation in this Winter Paralympic Games will continue to be negotiated through exchange of documents.
On January 17, the DPRK and the ROK held working talks in Panmunjom to discuss the DPRK's participation in the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. The two sides agreed that the DPRK will send consultations on the exchange of documents to the DPRK to send delegations of the National Para-Olympic Committee, athlete delegations, cheerleaders, art troupes, and press delegations to participate in the Winter Paralympic Games and other business issues gymnastics mat brands.
The current Paralympic Winter Games will be held in Pyeongchang, Gangneung and Jeongseon, South Korea, from March 9th to 18th.
